HEALTH NEWS

  • A local women's and children's shelter is offering open beds for individuals seeking help with life-altering addictions at its Adult and Teen Challenge program in Eugene. The program boasts an 86 percent success rate and holds ongoing community outreach events + support efforts.  KEZI

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Ducks beat Texas Tech 23-0 in the Orange Bowl behind four turnovers and four sacks that kept the opponent scoreless and their title hopes alive. They will face the winner of Alabama and Indiana in the Peach Bowl on Friday, Jan. 9.  KVAL
  • The Oregon Ducks will face Texas Tech in the Capital One Orange Bowl today at 9 a.m. at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens after a first-round game helped the team find its rhythm as it prepares to match its offensive line against a strong defensive front.  KVAL
