- ➤ The City Club of Eugene hosted a forum on Monday, Jan. 12 on KLCC 89.7 FM where three A.C.T. Now Lane Steering Committee members explained plans to address Lane County’s housing and homelessness crisis. The event was live streamed and is available on the Club’s website. KLCC
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The science center offers Yoga Under the Stars monthly sessions that combine yoga and stargazing in its dome with a 360 view. The next sessions are on Feb. 13 and Mar. 16 and cost $25 for members + $30 for general admission with only 20 spots available, so reserve early. KEZI
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gasoline prices in Eugene have risen by 4.6 cents per gallon over the past week, averaging $3.05, though they remain lower than last month and last year. GasBuddy's survey of 78 local stations backs these figures. KVAL
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Starting Fall 2026, the University of Oregon will split the Resident Assistant role into two positions, Community Assistants and Community Safety Assistants, with different room and meal plan credits.
