ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Police said one person died when a motorcycle lost control on River Road and Irvington in Eugene at about 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29—42-year-old Brandon Allen Goodeve was riding with a memorial group that had just left the American Legion. KVAL
- ➤ A home on Rockcress Road in Moon Mountain was halfway demolished after a landslide that began on March 16 and forced evacuations from three nearby houses — the developer is now checking for underground issues that may have caused the slide as neighbors worry about further damage. NBC 16

- ➤ Eugene Police responded to a fatal stabbing at a residence on the 1500 block of W. 6th Avenue on Saturday, March 29 at 6:59 p.m. where they found a 63-year-old man dead — 65-year-old Cynthia Christine Fletcher was arrested at the scene and taken to Lane County Jail on a Murder in the Second Degree charge. - ➤ A 67-year-old woman was attacked with a hammer on Friday night at 150 Santa Clara Avenue in Eugene—her husband now faces charges of attempted murder, first-degree assault, strangulation, and unlawful use of a weapon. KEZI

- ➤ According to a GasBuddy survey of 78 stations, Eugene drivers saw gasoline prices rise 4.6 cents per gallon last week as prices averaged $3.64 on Monday—up 0.7 cents from last month and far below last year’s levels. NBC 16
- ➤ Gas prices in Eugene rose by 4.6 cents in the past week to $3.64 per gallon on Monday—this rate is still 52 cents lower than the peak seen last year. KVAL

- ➤ University of Oregon's faculty union and administration reached a tentative agreement on Sunday evening — averting a strike that would have disrupted classes for students returning from spring break.
