- ➤ On April 7th around 3 a.m., Eugene officers responded to a shots fired call near Central Lane when a man reported an assault during an incident in which two men set off mortars, and they detained 23-year-old Emilio Jonathan Tobon (found with cash, over 33 grams of suspected cocaine and a concealed firearm despite a prior felony weapons conviction) along with 21-year-old Devon Roy Doster who was charged with disorderly conduct after a homeowner confronted the group. - ➤ A man accused of assaulting two people in a Springfield home was arrested early Saturday morning after police ended a five-hour standoff during which he hid in a closet—he now faces charges including assault, kidnapping, and firearm offenses. KEZI
- ➤ On April 5, Eugene Police arrested Toni Elizabeth Morgan, 63, after she threatened people at a Division Avenue thrift store by revving her car engine toward the building — officers used less lethal force and crisis negotiation before taking her into custody while the store was evacuated. KVAL
- ➤ Lane County Sheriff’s Office executed search warrants on April 3 at several sites after regulators flagged Agricola for operating beyond legal limits and seized 10,700 marijuana plants and several hundred pounds of processed products while contacting individuals for charges to be considered by the District Attorney's Office—ongoing investigations continue. - ➤ White Bird ended its CAHOOTS crisis service in Eugene effective immediately on Monday, April 7 due to insufficient funding, and the organization said it is working to find solutions to restore the program.
