- ➤ The University of Oregon Police Department asked the community for help identifying a driver in a black Nissan Rogue that hit and seriously injured a 65-year-old bicyclist on May 9 at 8:15 p.m. at Franklin Boulevard and Agate Street—officers said the bicyclist was taken to a nearby hospital and the driver left before being questioned. - ➤ Lane County law enforcement is asking for help in a firearms case after deputies arrested Jeffrey Allen Bragg of Eugene in April for theft in the first degree and officials suspect he stole and resold guns as legitimate so anyone who bought a firearm from him should call 541-682-4141 with case number 25-1802. - ➤ A construction worker from Lyons was charged with aggravated first-degree theft after he allegedly flushed expensive stolen jewelry—including a $15,550 pair of diamond and platinum earrings—down the toilet during a bathroom break at a home on Douthit Lane on April 11. KEZI

- ➤ Wildlife Safari announced yesterday that four healthy cheetah cubs were born on April 12 to first-time mom Bam-Bam — a vital boost to the Species Survival Plan and a win for conservation efforts. NBC 16

- ➤ Eugene residents voiced concerns over proposed cuts that would lower funding for the library and community pools during public comments at City Hall on Monday and Wednesday night — the City Council will hold sessions every Wednesday until a final decision is made on June 23. KVAL
- ➤ On Wednesday, Oregon lawmakers announced federal grants of more than $22 million to upgrade seven airports across the state, including $1.66 million for new drainage at Eugene Airport and over $260,000 for a taxi lane at Corvallis Municipal Airport. KVAL
