- ➤ Police chased a stolen car from Springfield into Eugene on Aug. 29 and after the suspect collided with an officer on Beltline Road and the vehicle caught fire near Riverbend Hospital—injuring both the suspect and an officer—the suspect remains hospitalized while the officer was treated and released.
