- ➤ The City of Eugene expanded its park system by adding eight acres of riverfront property along the south bank of the Willamette River near Autzen Stadium and Downtown Riverfront Park through a land exchange finalized in December 2023. City staff and partners cleaned up the site, installed boundary markers, and opened the area for public use with riparian tree planting scheduled for winter—enhancing habitat and safe recreation.
