- ➤ Gas prices have dropped nationally to under $3 per gallon but remain high in Oregon at $3.76 due to low crude oil costs and lower seasonal demand—AAA said the reopening of the Olympic Pipeline could help lower prices further as winter begins. KLCC

- ➤ On Nov.15, the Wastewater Regulatory Services team partnered with BRING Recycling and Lane County Fleet Services to lead an auto care workshop for about 15 local youths aged 17 to 22 who learned to change oil safely and protect waterways from harmful chemicals—each participant received a certificate, educational materials, and an oil change kit for their own cars. - ➤ Volunteers and staff from the Oregon Hunters Association, ODFW, and the Oregon Department of Forestry removed invasive foxglove and thistle from the four-acre Walker Point meadow near Veneta to help native pollinator plants thrive—Randy Smith said the work supports a habitat benefiting a range of wildlife.
