  • NW Natural warned that individuals are impersonating its utility workers to gain access to homes + residents are urged to verify worker ID before letting anyone in.  KVAL
  • Confident House Cleaning is providing two months of free house cleaning for cancer patients from Eugene + Springfield to ease treatment burdens. The service, inspired by the Cleaning For A Reason program, supports patients needing help with daily tasks.  KEZI

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Developers plan to build an Amazon distribution center near the Eugene airport, inside the city's *Clear Lake Overlay Zone*, which enforces extra environmental rules. They must prove they meet state and regional air quality standards before construction begins.  KVAL

CULTURE NEWS

  • Carey Norland, a local equestrian, won first place with a perfect score at the World National Yabusame Championships in Towada in October 2025 and will be North America’s only certified Nanbu yabusame instructor starting February; he will also teach and host travel clinics at Ridgeline Mounted Archers in 2026.  Eugene Weekly
