- ➤ Policymakers propose that Oregon schools, colleges, and universities adopt clear rules for responding to immigration officers on campus, including verifying credentials, notifying students and families (if legally permitted), and training staff; if approved, new measures will be part of each district’s safety plan and take effect on July 1. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A pilot project by the University of Oregon and EWEB will run the campus gas turbine during January and February, increasing gas use by 65% in winter to boost grid reliability + climate activists say it contradicts the university’s 2010 Climate Action Plan. NBC 16
