  • The Autzen Canoe Canal Footbridge has been closed since yesterday for refurbishment as University athletics upgrade efforts continue; detours are set up near the BMX park & Cuthbert Amphitheatre and Alton Baker Park. Lot 8 parking will be closed until August for improvements.  NBC 16
  • An Eagle Scout from Troop 100 is building a ramp and horse mounting block at the Lane County Sheriff's Posse Arena near Mount Pisgah to improve access for riders recovering from knee surgery. He surpassed his GoFundMe goal by raising over $1,300 above his $1,000 target.  KEZI

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Dexter fire crews, assisted by Lowell (one engine) and Pleasant Hill/Goshen (two engines), responded on a recent Sunday night to a camp trailer fire threatening an adjacent trailer and motorhome before containing the blaze with no injuries reported.  KEZI
