- ➤ Lane Community College and its faculty union reached a tentative 4-year contract after nearly a year of negotiations. The deal includes cost-of-living raises, increased pay for part-timers, stronger privacy rights and expanded anti-discrimination measures, and union votes for final approval are expected next month. - ➤ Eugene library supporters launched a campaign on Thursday to win voter approval for a proposed increase to the library tax levy that would boost funding for services and new programs. If approved at the May ballot, homeowners would pay an average of $54 per year. NBC 16
