  • Lane Transit District will powerwash the downtown bus hub’s structural steel from June 14 to August 28 at Willamette and 11th between 9 pm & 6 am, while a franchisee plans to build a Take 5 oil-change outlet on the busy Chambers/6th lot later this year.  Eugene Weekly

  • State travel leaders encourage locals to explore Lane County’s heritage trees during National Arbor Month, including sites at Dorris Ranch Hazelnut Orchard (Springfield) and the Owen Rose Garden in downtown Eugene as well as Ellmaker Grove in Veneta.  KEZI

  • City Club of Eugene kicks off its candidate forums at noon Friday, April 3, at WOW Hall with council races from Ward 5 and Ward 6, featuring incumbent Mike Clark, Athena Aguiar, Jasmine Hatmaker, Greg Evans, and challenger Tai Pruce-Zimmerman.
