CRIME NEWS

  • Springfield police arrested 54-year-old Linson Lavell Johnson after he assaulted a female and kidnapped a male at a home on S. 72nd St. Friday night around 9:48 p.m.—officers negotiated for hours before taking him into custody at about 5:35 a.m. Saturday while noting he had outstanding warrants including a prior felony violation.  NBC 16

HEALTH NEWS

  • Lane County's mobile crisis response program will expand to 24/7 service by June as CAHOOTS reduces its hours — the program has already managed over 1,300 calls since its launch last August and now covers mental health and substance use crises across the county. Officials said the expanded service will reach areas from Mackenzie Bridge to Junction City to fill the gap in crisis care.  KEZI
