  • Eugene Public Library is celebrating 25 years at its Bethel and Sheldon branches with free events in April — Bethel will celebrate on April 18 at 1990 Echo Hollow Road and Sheldon on April 25 at 1566 Coburg Road, featuring activities, face painting, and refreshments.  KEZI
  • Following several bike accidents, local cyclists and advocacy groups in Eugene urge safer road designs by calling for clearer bike lanes + updated traffic rules so drivers and riders share equal rights on the road.  KEZI

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Hult Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2026-2027 Broadway in Eugene season, which kicks off Oct. 6 with & Juliet and runs through June with Waitress and six other productions. Renewals and subscriptions are on sale now to support local downtown businesses.  KEZI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Eugene-Springfield Fire held a controlled burn exercise Tuesday off Virginia Avenue in Springfield to reduce wildfire risk and train youth from the Northwest Youth Corps. The department urged residents to clear vegetation from the first five feet around their homes to lessen fire dangers.  KEZI
