  • Today, the Junior League of Eugene hosted Operation Big Wheels: Touch a Truck at the Eugene Masonic Lodge where over 20 vehicles from 10 companies gave children a chance to sit in the driver’s seat and learn about the work behind them + proceeds from raffle tickets, concessions, and food vendors were donated to help homeless youth.  KEZI

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • An Oakridge Fire & EMS medic unit rolled over on Highway 58 near milepost 30 shortly before 2 p.m.—one responder is in critical but stable condition and two others suffered minor injuries as mutual aid crews extricated the occupants and Eugene Springfield Fire provided transport.  KEZI

CRIME NEWS

  • At 9:45 p.m. on Friday, a Springfield police chase ended when 29-year-old Sadie Jagiello sped away from a traffic stop and crashed her Jeep SUV into a power pole at 67th Street and Main Street, causing outages, and officers pulled her from the overturned, burning vehicle—she was later charged with Attempt to Elude in a Motor Vehicle, Reckless Driving, and DUI.  NBC 16
