EDUCATION NEWS

  • Voters approved a five-year levy today to fund one-quarter of public library services and expand early literacy by placing librarians in preschools (the funding also supports a new automated kiosk for books and media in underserved neighborhoods).  NBC 16
  • The OSU Extension levy in Lane County trails by 332 votes as of Thursday night in the primary, putting key programs (4H, wildfire resiliency, agricultural aid) at risk unless county commissioners try again on the November ballot.  KVAL
