Firefighters from Eugene Springfield Fire responded before 4:00 a.m. May 28 near Dorris Ranch to a house fire on the 600 block of Dorris Street—no occupants were injured.

E.J. Rotherham, assistant principal at Agnes Stewart Middle School, died suddenly last weekend, and his loss has deeply affected the Springfield School District.
