- ➤ Police arrested 33-year-old Eric Engrique Franco on Saturday, August 16 after a woman reported seeing a hand reaching through her bedroom window near E. 16th and Hilyard—officers found a luchador mask and an Exacto knife on him and took him to a hospital for a check before transferring him to jail on charges of burglary in the first degree and menacing. - ➤ The Eugene Police Department is seeking help finding Ron Fifarek, a 74-year-old man with dementia—last seen outside his Greer Gardens home in the Goodpasture area at 9:10 a.m. on Sunday, August 17 and wearing a black leather jacket, blue and white baseball cap, and jeans—as authorities work with Lane County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue.
