- ➤ Officials in Lane County said moisture had kept two wildfires from growing quickly until recent wet weather ended. Later this week, with warmer and drier conditions, crews will face more smoke from the 32,294-acre Emigrant Fire and small hillside moves at the 249-acre Foley Ridge Fire — officials have closed part of the forest along Highway 242 for safety.
