At Alton Baker Park on Sunday, local groups celebrated World Migratory Bird Day as birds began their fall migration and organizers joined forces to seek a bird city designation for Eugene.

The coalition promoted bird-friendly practices—such as using bird safe glass and reducing glare—to help protect local wildlife.
