- ➤ Oregon gas prices dropped by 7.3 cents per gallon over the past week to average $3.89 — a figure based on a survey of 1,307 stations. Prices remain 31.1 cents higher than last year’s rate. KVAL

ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Chintimini Wildlife Center, the only wildlife rehab between south of Portland and Eugene, has new interim leaders — Alyssa Nelson as executive director and Heather Gibons as deputy director — who are working to fix money problems and keep caring for local wildlife. They have raised about $100,000 toward a $150,000 goal to serve 2,200 patients and may cut some programs if funds remain low. KEZI

- ➤ Three weeks ago, the Hauser Fire Department lost its station to a fire and has been operating from a donated RV while continuing to respond to calls.
